San Jose, California, November 15, 2006: GDA Technologies Inc., a leading electronic design services (EDS) and silicon intellectual property (SIP) company has achieved a unique feat of making it to the prestigious ‘si100’ list of top companies founded and managed by Indian Americans in the United States.
“We are proud of the fact that Silicon India Magazine has featured us for the fourth time in the list of top US companies founded by Indian Americans. To have GDA Tech listed under the semi-conductor section of the ‘si100’ list is yet another feather in our cap, says A.G. Karunakaran, President and CEO of this Silicon Valley-based company.
This is the second such award garnered by GDA Technologies, which was nominated to the Top-50 list of Silicon Valley Companies instituted by the San Jose Business Journal. This award was announced in September.
In 2004, GDA Technologies was adjudged among the top-10 hardware companies in the Silicon Valley by the Silicon India Magazine. “Making the top 100 list consistently is proof of the fact that our team and its core strengths have worked well in the highly competitive market where quality of products and services are the only metrics of success. The latest recognition from Silicon India magazine is well-deserved by the entire GDA Technologies team,” said Ravi Thummarukudy, Vice President and GM of the company.
The company has managed to consistently deliver on its promise of world class products and technology, as a result of which it today boasts of having some of the biggest names in the IT industry on its client list.
“Our focus on quality and top notch technology is the reason we have big names like IBM, Intel, NEC, Cadence and Xilinx amongst our clients,” says Gopa Periyadan, Vice President and GM of the company, and who along with Ravi and AGK founded GDA Technologies in 1995 without any external source of funding.
