Message From GDA's President

L&T Acquires GDA

It is my pleasure to share with all of you GDA's Fall Newsletter.

We are very pleased to announce that GDA Technologies Inc has been acquired by Larsen & Toubro Infotech Limited (LTIL) headquartered in India. LTIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly traded Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) a USD 4+ billion, Forbes Global 2000, BusinessWeek Asia’s Top 50, technology-driven Indian

multinational.  LTIL offers comprehensive, end-to-end engineering solutions and services in IT as well as in Product Engineering Services (PES). With effect from March 15, GDA is a wholly owned subsidiary of L&T Infotech.

With the combined engineering strength of around 2000 engineering professionals focused primarily in Electronic Product Engineering Services, we are poised to provide the best in class end-to-end engineering services(PES) that includes IC design, IP licensing, board design, system design, embedded software, verification, testing and QA services for electronic product development in various market segments (Mobile Handset Manufacturers, Networking,  and Semiconductor companies, Telecom Equipment and Product Vendors, Defense and Aerospace companies).

GDA would operate as a subsidiary of L&T Infotech and be governed by the board of directors. We have have immediate plans to accelerate all the current lines of business leveraging the infrastructure, customer base, financial resources and brand of L&T Infotech. This convergence and resulting merger will, however, not have an impact on any of our on going project engagements. Going forward, GDA’s current design centers will leverage LTIL’s global infrastructure and presence that spans 16 international offices and 11 design development centers across the globe. For more information on L&T Infotech please check the URL www.lntinfotech.com

We take this opportunity to thank you for your continued business and support and look forward to growing and strengthening the relationship. L&T has been a professionally managed company for many years, without dominance by founding families or any single stakeholder, and is run on the basis of overall stakeholder benefit. The parent provides complete autonomy to its subsidiary companies and there is a highly effective decentralized decision-making process that operates. This ensures all customers and partners are able to depend on the commitment of GDA with support from LTIL. We will be able to respond to your requirements with the same agility as we have done in the past.

Thanks and Best Regards,
A.G.Karunakaran “AGK”
President & Chief Executive Officer
