Superior Architecture
PCI Express-AMBA Bridge (PAB) is a highly flexible and configurable design with PCI-Express interface on one side and AMBA interface on other side. The Bridge has been architectured to interface with PCI Express controller used as end-point, or root-complex. On system side, PAB provides the flexibility to use AHB or AXI interface. PAB uses high speed multi-channel DMA controllers to match the bandwidth requirement of PCIe Gen2 solution.

GDA PCI Express-AMBA Bridge’s simple, configurable and layered architecture is independent of applications, implementation tools and target technology. The controller architecture is carefully tailored to optimize latency, power consumption, and silicon footprint.. This solution provides highly scalable bandwidth through configurable data path width and clock frequency. This allows for a highly optimized solution for a wide range of applications.

Most Thoroughly Verified and Interoperable Design
PAB is the most exhaustively verified solution available in the market.. The tests include design specific and random tests resulting in a very high coverage. The design is verified with leading AXI/AHB verification IP. The verification environment can be configured to run with all the major simulators.

GDA PCI Express-AMBA Bridge solution, leverages years of experience in creating reusable designs for Ethernet, RapidIO and PCI Express technologies and the expertise in creating system validated solutions with RTL, synthesis,
simulation, board and software elements to offer risk-free solution in terms of compliance and interoperability.

The design is fully synchronous and adheres to standard synthesis, test insertion and physical design practices. The solution allows licensees to easily migrate among COT, FPGA, Gate array, Structured ASIC’s and Standard Cell technologies. The design with its flexible user logic interface can be easily integrated into a wide range of applications.
