| GDA Technologies of California, an electronic product development company, on Monday said it was ramping up its Indian operations by doubling its headcount in Chennai, besides opening new offices in Bangalore and Kochi.
The company would invest about $2-3 million to increase its headcount from the present 270 people in India to 500 people in two years, company co-founder and General Manager (responsible for chip development) Ravi Thummarukudi told PTI.
GDA Technologies, which makes electronic hardware products for DVD players, Set-Top Boxes, routers and switches, would expand its operations in Chennai by increasing its headcount from the present 160 people to 400 people, he said.
"We are seeing a very rapid growth of electronic products globally. However, there are not many OEM suppliers for the products," Mr Ravi said, adding that the company sees high potential in this area. Already, companies such as Cisco, Intel and Fujitsu a re its clients.
"We expect to end this calendar with $20 million in revenues," he added. |
