Reed Solomon Controller

The Reed Solomon Encoder decoder is used for Burst error correction. The data is parallel. The width of the data (m) varies from 4 to 10 bits. For a specific value of the data width "m", the number of the data symbols for the encoder / decoder is fixed as n = 2**m-1. The decoder has a capacity to correct "t" number of errors where t = fixed depending on the theory of Reed-Solomon.

GDA's Reed Solomon controller is a highly configurable and efficient implementation. It is fully digital, multi-module design created to provide complete solution in variety of application scenarios. The core's simple, configurable and layered architecture is independent of applications, PHY designs, implementation tools and, most importantly, target technologies.
