With strong skills in requirement analysis, design, and development of embedded systems (Boards and System S/W), Thomas was responsible for the management & co -ordination of projects and the design Team. He has hands-on design experience in embedded board design.

Prior to joining GDA, he was head of Dept of electronics engineering, School of Engineering, Cochin Univeristy of School and and Technology (CUSAT) Cochin. Earlier, he served at the Centre for Electronics Design and Technology (CEDTI), Calicut, with responsibility of design management, development of embedded systems (hardware and system software), planning, development and conduction of practical design oriented training programs for practicing engineers on Electronics Product/ System Design Object Oriented Analysis and Design. He began his career with Switching R&D Indian Telephone Ind. (ITI) Bangalore.

Thomas holds a B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Mysore and M.Tech Electronics Design and Technology Indian Institute of Science, (CEDT) Bangalore. He has also did a course on hardware and software design/configuration of industrial process controller using Intelligent Automation (I/A) Series system at Foxboro Training Institute, Foxboro, USA (1994).

He also completed a 16-week training at Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick, U.K (1995) On Quality Management, Design Management, Project planning· He also conducted a study of the new Product Introduction Process at Rover, Coventry, UK, and Comparison with world best practices and recommendations for improvement.
