For the last several years, while continuing to be responsible for technology and engineering deliveries, Partha has also been taking on technical marketing, standards participation, and other customer interfacing responsibilities. He currently holds the chairmanship of the RapidIO BFM Working Group and is a senior member of the IEEE Communication Society. In the past, he lead or served on various technical committees on Communications Protocol, Simulation, and Modeling.
Partha holds a B. Tech degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, an MS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and has conducted advanced graduate research work at leading academic institutes. He has been keeping his technology focus sharpened by participating in summer engineering camps for executives conducted by University of California at their Berkeley Campus. He has pending and been granted patents in the area of circuit design and optimization techniques.
He is an avid follower of Hidustani (North Indian) Classical Music and associated with various groups in the US and India helping the preservation and propagation of this rich musical heritage. His interests include Vedanta Philosophy and raising Monarch and Swallowtail butterflies in their botanical ecosystem at his Saratoga home.
