With the network architectures revolution underway in IP communications, the need for a common channel to handle data and voice has become inevitable. The IPPBX forms this platform, combining traditional analog telephone lines, T1/E1 lines, Voice over IP (VoIP) connections, and WAN and LAN connections. GDA's team of engineers has developed our IPPBX system based on Freescale's MPC8360E PowerQuicc II Communications Processor for Small Office Home Office (SOHO) applications.

| The system is built on a Linux kernel 2.6.x platform running Asterisk, an open-source PBX software. Asterisk offers both classical PBX functionality and advanced features, interoperated with traditional standards-based telephony systems and Voice over IP systems (VoIP). These are the features one would expect of a large proprietary PBX system, including Voicemail, Conference Bridging, Call Queuing, and Call Detail Records—all included here. |
