In his previous job at OPTi, Gopa was the group manager responsible for System Engineering, Technical Marketing, Application Engineering, and System Level Simulation. In this capacity, Gopa worked with desktop and notebook vendors like Compaq, Sanyo, and NEC in the US as well as with vendors in Taiwan and Japan . Gopa also supported Taiwan ODM vendors like Inventec and Arima to get their products into full reliable production in less than 9 months.

Coming from a tremendously strong technical background, Gopa's expertise is system architecture, ASIC definition, logic design and engineering management. His strengths for GDA include an extensive background spent managing medium to large sized engineering, validation, and verification groups. He is also a true leader in time-to-market design strategies. He is one of the early development leaders who had specialized in distributed development centers who can tap into geographic specific talent for strong development output.
