Overview
GDA and a partner collaborated to co-develop the GPON OLT MAC IP and agreed on a very aggressive schedule. The partner chose to engage with GDA because of its extensive experience in delivering shrink wrapped IP to more than 50 customers.

The customer was comfortable in having GDA manage that because of its 10+ years of experience in managing design teams in India, at their design centers in Chennai, Bangalore and Kochi

Program Details
- Joint development of the specification
- GDA developed the RTL, Verification environment and software
- Partner completed FPGA validation with FPGA Validation environment done by GDA
- Partner allocated 1 SW Architect and 1 HW architect to initially spend 3 weeks in India and then later 3-4 hours/Week for review progress
- Full Hardware and software execution with program management done by GDA
- Project completed on time
- Validation completed
IP Ownership
- 1. GDA owns the IP and the partner having unlimited license to use and modify
- 2. Partner could incorporate the IP in their design and sell without any restriction
- 3. GDA will license the IP to other customers, maintain, service and support
