Arkados, Inc. (OTCBB: CDKN) is a provider of technology solutions that enable broadband transmission and entertainment networking over standard electricity lines (“the powerline network”). Arkados is a contributing member of the HomePlug Powerline Alliance, focused on specific standards initiatives within the Alliance and is developing a fully functional, HomePlug®-compliant powerline networking system-on-chip. Three key technology areas are being addressed currently by Arkados, including HomePlug 1.0 + AV (in-home connectivity, including digital home and consumer electronics applications), HomePlug BPL (to-the-home, Broadband-over-Powerline applications), and HomePlug Home Automation (command-and-control applications).

The Challenge
To build, verify, and tape out the design in record time.

The Solution
To accelerate Arkados SoC (System on a Chip) development, we successfully utilized our GTAP (GDA Technology Acceleration Platform). Our experienced team was able to take Arkados' design and implementation of the powerline networking chip through various stages of Final integration, Verification, Backend Design implementation, and supply chain management in six months. Our expertise in SoC Integration and front-to-back end design services also enabled us to establish relationships for supply chain management, contributing to the success of this project.
